SOFT MAPLE

Soft Maple from this area is predominately red leaf. It runs very good for sapwood content, typically 70%-80% Sap&Better in the prime grade. 5/4 through 8/4 is at least 90% Sap&Better. Good length structure with typical loads containing no more than 30% 8'&shorter.

Prime - Put up 5"&wider, 7'&longer, unselected for color. Our 4/4 typically runs 70%-80% Sap&Better, while thicker stock is 85%-100%
Sap&Better. Straight loads of particular lengths are possible as well. Please inquire.

Strips - Put up 4"-5", 6'&longer. Our strips run 90%-100% Sapface&Better.

#1 Common - Put up 4"&wider, 6'&longer, unselected for color. Our #1 Common normally runs 75%-85% Sapface&Better. Our optimizing equipment virtually eliminates waste due to wane.

#2A Common - Put up 4"&wider, 6'&longer, unselected for color. Our #2A Common normally runs 75%-85% Sapface&Better. Our optimizing equipment vitually eliminates waste due to wane.

#2 Common - Put up 4"&wider, 6'&longer, unselected for color. The lumber makes an excellent "rustic" product where the sound defects are left in.

#1 Common & Better WHND - Put up 4"&wider, 6'&longer, unselected for color, worm holes, no defect. The boards tend to have a lot of worm tracks in them.
